How to throw an American-style Super Bowl party in Canada

What do I need to throw a Super Bowl Party?

Snacks

The first thing you’ll need for a successful Super Bowl party is snacks, and you’ll need a lot of them. They don’t necessarily need to be homemade though. Pizza, burgers, wings and a variety of appetizers are a good first step to throwing an American-style Super Bowl Party.

Drinks

You’ll want to make sure you have a variety of drinks available if you’re trying to throw an authentic American Super Bowl Party. Soda and water are necessities, but feel free to have your guests bring their own alcoholic beverages to save yourself some money.

Football-themed decorations

One of the most important parts of throwing a true American-style Super Bowl party is having a bunch of football-themed decorations. You’ll definitely want to be sporting a jersey, but it’s not necessary for the jersey to belong a team that’s playing in the game.

According to legend, while the house was being built, a construction worker was trapped inside the foundation. Now he haunts the grounds of the lodge, ringing bells and leaves disembodied footsteps wherever he goes.

Manipogo

The Manipogo is a legendary monster that dwells in the depths of Lake Manitoba. First spotted in 1908, Manipogo has been scaring fishermen and sightseers for over a hundred years. This creature is said to be from 12 to 50 feet long, brown, and has several humps. Researchers have yet to find this creature.

Some people have reported strange sightings at this park. Visitors have claimed that they heard a pair of girls talking to one another but couldn’t see anyone around. Four tips for preparing your vehicle for a long road trip

With summer quickly approaching, we’ve spent a lot of time daydreaming about the road trips we want to take this summer. Planning a vacation or trip of any sort can be stressful, so it’s important to remember to take care of the details before you leave, which includes preparing your vehicle for the journey. We don’t want you to end up stranded on the side of the road, after all! Read on to see four of our tips for getting your car ready for a road trip!

You might also be interested in: Three common signs of a bad transmission

How to get your car ready for a road trip

  1. Check your fluids

Before you head out on your road trip, make sure you check all of the your vehicle’s vital fluids, including the engine oil, transmission fluid, radiator coolant, brake fluid, windshield washer fluid and power steering fluid. If you need a top-off on any fluid, come see us at Craig Dunn Motor City.

  1. Fill your tires

Having your tires filled to the recommended PSI may help you save some money on gas, so grab your owner’s manual to see how inflated your tires should be, and fill them to the correct PSI before hitting the road.

  1. Make sure air conditioning is working

Sitting in a hot car for a few minutes is bad enough, but sitting in a hot car for a few hours? Forget about it. Nothing is more miserable than being on a long journey with no air conditioning when it’s hot outside, so you don’t want to skip this step, trust us.

  1. Pack an emergency kit

You always want to be prepared for the worst, so packing a roadside emergency kit is never a bad idea. Items that should be in the kit include blankets, a flashlight, spark plugs, batteries, a cell phone charger, a map and extra vehicle fluids.
