2017 GMC Acadia Powertrain and Fuel Economy
The new GMC Acadia will be available with two powertrains: a new 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine equipped with stop-start technology will be standard, while an updated 3.6-litre V6 engine offering an estimated 310 horsepower will also be available on most models.
2018 Chevy Equinox Powertrain Options
The 2018 Chevy Equinox will see several powertrain improvements compared to theĀ 2017 Equinox model. TheseĀ include a new base engine, an upgraded optional engine, and the first (and currently only) compact SUV in North America to be available with a diesel option. 1.5-litre Gas Turbo
The new base engine on the 2018 Chevy Equinox will be a refined 1.5 turbo. Optimized for fuel-efficiency (thanks to features like direct injection) this engine should be able to deliver a fuel-consumption rating as low as 7.6 L/100km on the highway with front-wheel drive. This engine will offer a GM-estimated 170 horsepower.
2.0-litre Gas Turbo
This four-cylinder turbocharged 2.0-litre promises to deliverĀ the capability of the previous yearās V6 engine, with increased fuel-efficiency. This engine will be rated for 252 horsepower and be able to trailer up to 1,585 pounds (which is a match for the 2017 Equinox with the V6). This engine will also be able to offer 8.4 L/100km on the highway.
1.6-litre Turbo-Diesel
The all-new 1.6-litre turbo-diesel on the 2018 Equinox combines theĀ fuel-efficiency of diesel powerĀ with premium torque, power, and technology likeĀ stop-start. This engine has an estimated outputĀ of 136 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque, and has a GM-estimated fuel-consumption rating of just 5.9 L/100km on the highway.
