Canada Day at the Forks
Every year, Winnipeg’s meeting place, the Forks, offers great ways to celebrate Canada, and 2016 will be no different. Starting at 12:30 on Canada Day, the Forks will feature live music from a variety of artists, as well as available food and fun. The day will wrap up at 11 p.m. with a fireworks display. Osborne Village Canada Day Street Celebration
The Osborne Village Canada Day Street Celebration has always been a joyful festival for Canada’s birthday, and Canada Day 2016 promises to be no exception. Featuring great new events like a hockey tournament, live entertainment, and a Village fashion show, this will be a great activity. Scheduling information is a little light right now, but at 1 p.m. folks should be gathering to sing Happy Birthday to Canada, and then share cake. Learn more here.
2016 Canada Day Living Flag
Another great tradition for Canada Day in the Winnipeg area is the Canada Day Living Flag. Held at Shaw Park, this event will start at 9 a.m with t-shirt distribution on a first-come first-serve basis, followed by formation at 10 a.m., with fun for the whole family and entertainment throughout the event.
