Does Chevy have Android Auto and Apple CarPlay?
Every year more technology features are added to vehicles to make them safer or more enjoyable. One recent feature that is being integrated into cars is different mobile device syncing systems including Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. These are new and exciting features that allow you to use your mobile device in partnership with your vehicle. When searching for a new vehicle it’s important to make sure it has the mobile device compatibilities that you want, but it can be hard to tell just by looking at a vehicle. Today we’re going to answer the question, “Does Chevy have Android Auto and Apple CarPlay?”.
Recently Chevrolet announced that all of its 2016 models will offer both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. This means 14 different Chevy models including the all-new 2016 Cruze will have these exciting features. This is the widest range of models in the industry to have both of these advanced features. The Chevrolet seven-inch MyLink system will give users access to both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Each system builds off of the smartphone functions that users are accustomed to. Android Auto is built around Google Maps, Google Now and the ability to talk to Google as well as using popular apps including WhatsApp, Skype, Google Play Music, Spotify and podcast players. Apple CarPlay uses Apple programs including Phone, Siri voice commands, Messages, Maps, Music and other third-party apps. Many features for both systems can be controlled using voice commands so that drivers can always keep their hands on the wheel.
