Don’t drive on “E”
Although it’s easy to not notice your fuel levels slowly depleting, it’s important to avoid hitting empty. Sediment from gas or diesel settles at the bottom of your fuel tank as time goes on, and driving on empty causes the fuel pump to send grit through the fuel lines. Driving on E is also dangerous because fuel in the tank helps cool the fuel pump, so having less than a quarter tank of fuel can cause overheating.

Quick acceleration not only affects your fuel economy, but it also puts unnecessary stress on your engine.
