Top of the line engine for the 2017 Chevy Silverado is the 6.2-liter V8 EcoTec3 engine with 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The 6.2-liter V8 engine offers best-in-class 5,670 kg of towing capability.

Chevy’s EcoTec3 engines use three fuel-saving technologies active fuel management, direct injection, and continuously variable valve timing to give the full-size pickup truck impressive fuel economy without sacrificing its power output.
