Canada Day 2017 in Portage la PrairieÂ
Portage la Prairie Canada Day Celebration
When:Â July 1 @ 10 a.m.
Where:Â Stride Place, Portage la Prairie
If you’re looking for an entire day of family fun, the Portage la Prairie Canada Day celebration is the perfect spot for you. Beginning at 10 a.m. with a Pancake Breakfast, the celebration will continue until 10 p.m., ending with an impressive fireworks display at dusk. Additional activities throughout the day include all-day live entertainment, food and beverages, children’s activities, an outdoor movie at sundown, and more.
Dragon Boat Festival
When:Â July 1 @ 8 a.m.
Where:Â Stride Place, Portage la Prairie
Before you head over to the Portage la Prairie Canada Day Celebration, stop by and watch the annual dragon boat races at Stride Place! The 11-person dragon boat races are fun for the entire family to watch, not to mention proceeds from the event go to The Canadian Cancer Society and are used to help fight cancer.
