2018 Chevy Equinox engine options

The 2018 Chevy Equinox will have three turbocharged engine options: the standard 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that makes 170 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque, the available 2.0-liter Turbo engine and a segment-first diesel engine. The 2.0-liter Turbo engine and the diesel engine will be available on the 2018 Equinox beginning in the second quarter of 2017, while the standard 1.5-liter turbocharged engine will be available upon the vehicle’s release.

What will the 2017 GMC Terrain Nightfall Edition look like?

While the official debut for the 2017 GMC Terrain Nightfall Edition is not until the New York Auto Show later this week, we already have a sneak peek for this great vehicle. The Nightfall Edition will be available in four colour options with blackout accents similar to those in vehicles like the Silverado Midnight Edition. Some of those accents include:

• 18-inch machined-face aluminum wheels with gloss black spokes
• Gloss black fascia accents in the front and the rear
• Black rear license plate surround trim, outside mirrors, and luggage rails
• Exterior colour options: Summit White, Onyx Black, Graphite Grey Metallic and Crimson Red Metallic

The Nightfall Edition will also come standard with a 2.4-litre engine with a fuel consumption rating of just 7.3 L/100km on the highway with front-wheel drive. It will be available in SLE-2 and SLT trim levels.

“The new Terrain Nightfall Edition adds another great-looking and well-equipped choice for this popular SUV – one that will stand out in a crowd,” said Mike Speranzini, brand director GMC Buick, in a recent GMC press release.

Technology on the Nightfall

The 2017 GMC Terrain Nightfall Edition will come standard with the effective and user-friendly GMC IntelliLink system featuring a 7-inch responsive touchscreen. The 2017 Terrain will also be available with 4G LTE connectivity and the ability to become a Wi-Fi hotspot.

A rearview camera will be standard on the Terrain Nightfall. Advanced safety features like rear cross traffic alerts, blind zone warnings, forward collision alerts, lane departure warnings, and rear parking assistance will be available.

Other exciting features on the 2017 GMC Terrain Nightfall Edition are an available programmable power liftgate with memory-stop functions and a standard MultiFlex rear seat that can be adjusted forward or back up to eight inches to maximize either passenger or cargo room. With the rear seats folded, this 2017 Terrain model will offer 1,810 litres of cargo space.

The 2017 GMC Canyon Denali world debut was this week in advance of the official unveiling at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

While we already have excellent pictures and a lot of high expectations for this new model of truck, we’re not going to see it on the lot. The official release date for this truck puts it at some point late in 2016.

Available in crew cab and four-wheel drive models, the 2017 Canyon Denali will sport a distinctive chrome grille and 20-inch ultRa-bright-machined aluminum wheels with painted accents. Available in six exterior colors, the Canyon Denali will also sport chrome fog lamp bezels, five-inch chrome assist steps, a polished exhaust tip, and standard spray in bed liner.

Trim Levels on the Buick Envision in North America

In North America, the luxurious Envision is starting out with just two trim levels: Premium and Premium II. Both of these models will come loaded with luxury features, quiet-cabin technology, and excellent performance.

For the 2017 Buick Envision, it looks like we’ll be seeing a lot more trim levels, and a lot more flexibility on price. We’re not completely sure how these trims, features, and pricing will transfer to our Canadian models yet, but it looks like we may be able to look forward to the 2017 model being available in base Envision, Preferred, Essence, Premium, and Premium II levels. While those two top trims will carry over, the lower levels will offer SUV owners and busy families many of the safety and convenience features of the new Envision at a lower price.

Again, this is information for North America in general, not Canada or Manitoba specifically, but it looks like even the base trims will come with a rearview camera, Active Noise Cancellation technology, automatic climate control, heated front seats, remote start and rear parking assist, just to name a few of the top features.

Sierra eAssist Fuel Consumption

The 2016 Sierra with eAssist will feature a 5.3-liter V8 engine matched to an eight-speed transmission that offers 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, the same as the standard Sierra’s 5.3-liter engine. However it will offer a fuel consumption rating of just 14.4 L/100km in city driving, compared to 14.6 L/100km. Holding onto the same 10.4 L/100km rating for highway driving, this means that the 2016 GMC Sierra eAssist will feature a combined driving fuel consumption rating of just 13.0 L/100km. Already the most fuel efficient gas truck in its class, this lets the 2016 Sierra reach even more impressive heights of efficiency.

The new eAssist technology on the 2016 GMC Sierra can offer such an impressive fuel consumption rating thanks to a host of efficiency technologies. This is the second time that the GMC Canyon has been named the Best Midsize Pickup Truck by Cars.com. Many of the reasons that this truck excels remain the same: it delivers top capability with premium driving.

Canyon First-Place Finishes

In the 2016 Cars.com Midsize Pickup competition, the 2016 GMC Canyon took first-place finishes for its Gross Combination Weight Rating (GCWR), its light construction, top payload, and max tow rating. It also received the most judges’ points of any vehicle in the competition.

Furthermore, the Canyon consistently took first or second in the majority of categories, which kept it ahead of its sister-vehicle the 2016 Chevy Colorado and the contest runner-up, the 2017 Honda Ridgeline. 2016 Chevy Trax Midnight Edition Release Date

The Midnight Edition on the 2016 Chevy Trax will go on sale in North America in February 2016. No news yet when or if this vehicle will be hitting our lot here in Portage La Prairie, but it’s always exciting to see new, bold vehicle models coming out in our Chevy vehicles. Trax Midnight Edition Details

Based on the LTZ trim, the 2016 Trax Midnight Edition will come with black wheels, bezels, beltline molding, and door handles. The rear license plate holder will also be black. The external colour, natually, will be black. In the interior, the seats will feature gray accents, while the floor mats will have gray piping, to allow the dark interior to pop. Previous vehicles that have received Midnight Editions include the 2016 Chevy Silverado and the 2016 Chevy Colorado.

It was announced earlier this year that the 2016 Chevy Camaro is being released soon. It is going to have a variety of exciting features, including new Chevy Camaro engine types.
