It shows the 2016 GMC Sierra Denali, 2016 GMC Sierra SLT and 2016 GMC Sierra All-Terrain. This exciting video shows a detailed look at the new front fascia and grilles for each vehicle.

Even though there isn’t much information about this new model just yet, these images and little details have really added to our excitement! We’ve heard plenty about gorgeous Buick concept cars (like the Avenir and the Avista) that have been making their debuts at car shows around the world, but now we have learned that these beautiful works of automotive engineering won’t merely be concepts that eventually add flare to other vehicles. Instead, with the Avenir luxury sub-brand release date, those already in love with premium Buick quiet driving and luxury will have an even more elite option.

Avenir Luxury Sub-Brand Release Date

We don’t yet have a solid release date for the Avenir luxury sub-brand but several sources have marked it as a 2018 model year vehicle. Whether that means a release date in the early- to mid-2017 year (like the 2018 Chevy Equinox), or something closer to the start of the 2018 calendar year, it’s hard to say.

This sub-brand will be the top-of-the-line option for customers looking for premium Buick quality. Like the Denali brand on GMC trucks and SUVs, the Avenir will offer customers a new level of luxury.

What Can You Expect on an Avenir Luxury Vehicle?

The Avenir sub-brand will offer unique appearance and luxury touches like a three-dimensional mesh grille, larger wheels, a sculpted elegant design and a new level of interior luxury.

“Through the first half of 2016, Buick has been the industry’s fastest-growing major international brand, and Avenir is key to future growth and delivering on the high expectations of new customers coming to our showrooms,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Global Buick Sales, Service and Marketing, in a recent Buick press release. “Avenir will be Buick’s signature. The GMC Canyon has long been an excellent truck, and the addition of a diesel engine promises to only improve fuel efficiency and make an already fantastic vehicle better. The new 2.8L Duramax diesel engine featured in SLE and SLT Crew Cab models promises to deliver on horsepower while also being the cleanest diesel truck engine ever for a GM vehicle. Representatives of GM have said that the long-term plan has always been to make the Canyon available with a diesel engine, and now that time has arrived. Completely designed for trucks, this new Duramax engine smoothly fits into the Canyon frame.

Other highlights of the 2016 GMC Canyon diesel:

• Smart diesel exhaust braking, previously seen on the 2015 Sierra HD, helping to maintain an even speed on downhill stretches while using cruise control
• Integrated trailer brake control, which will be standard and exclusive on diesel models

How strong is the Canyon?

Fall 2015 is going to continue being an excellent time for new vehicle releases. In addition to several other vehicle scheduled to come out soon (or that are already on the lot here at Craig Dunn) the 2016 Volt is scheduled to go on sale in Canada within the next month or so. So let’s look at some of what is going to set it apart from its electric competition and previous incarnation.

New powertrain on the 2016 Chevy Volt

The second-generation Voltec propulsion system (including the battery, drive unit, range-extending engine, and power electronics) will provide even more range and improved acceleration. The new battery system offers more overall electric capacity with fewer power cells. The range-extending 1.5-liter engine works with regular unleaded fuel, and features efficiency technology like direct fuel injection.

With this new and improved powertrain for the 2016 Chevy Volt, the vehicle has an estimated EV range of up to 80 kilometers. With the addition of the range-extending engine, the Volt has a maximum range of 676 kilometers on a single charge and tank of gas.

Several interior and technological changes made in response to customer demand promise to make the 2016 Chevy Volt an even more satisfying riding experience. More intuitive controls and seats for five passengers (up from the previous four seats) allow even more driving options. The 2016 Volt will also feature the standard 4G LTE Wifi capability that is becoming standard in new Chevy vehicles and will be compatible with Apple CarPlay immediately. with Android Auto available later in the 2016 model year. Owners will also be able to program their Volt to follow specific charging guidelines at home which take advantage of decreased electricity prices at certain times of the day.

While the 2016 Chevy Cruze will be available in L, LS, LT and Premier trim levels, the 2017 Chevy Cruze Hatch will only be available in the upper LT and Premier trims. A sporty RS package will be available on both.

One of the advantages of a hatchback five-door body style is that it offers more cargo space behind the rear seats. The 2017 Chevy Cruze Hatch will feature 524 litres of space behind the rear seats, which can expand out to 1,336 litres with the rear seats folded down. The 2016 Chevy Cruze has 419 litres behind the rear seats on the L and LS trims, and just 393 on the LT, Premier and RS.

We’re pretty sure that both the Chevy Cruze and the 2017 Cruze Hatch will boast the same 1.4-litre turbocharged engine, rated for 113 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque. Thanks to features like direct fuel injection and engine stop-start this engine delivers stunning fuel economy in the 2016 Chevy Cruze sedan.We are hopeful that that will carry over to the hatchback model as well.

2018 Chevy Traverse Debut and Teaser Image

When we think of the Chevy Traverse we immediately picture a vast and practical SUV that can take on the passenger and cargo challenges of a large family. Up until now we haven’t had much information about the new incarnation of the Traverse, but Chevrolet has just released a teaser image of this vehicle, and some preliminary information about what we can look forward to with the new model year. Keep reading to check out information on the 2018 Chevy Traverse debut and teaser image.

What Might Be New on the 2018 Traverse?

The teaser image for the 2018 Chevy Traverse (visible at the top of this blog) shows a very similar profile to the 2017 Chevy Traverse that we have come to know and love, however, there are some subtle differences. We think that the window line of the new Traverse is slightly more curved. There may also be subtle differences with the front and rear fascia, though the lighting of the teaser image makes it difficult to say.

Chevrolet has already released information that the Traverse will have seating for a maximum of eight passengers and will be on the path to have the top cargo space and third-row legroom dimensions in the segment. We will be able to learn more about features and capabilities when the 2018 Chevy Traverse has its world debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit on Jan. 9, 2017.

Canadian Unveiling of the 2018 Chevy Traverse

While the world debut of the 2018 Traverse will be early next month, the Canadian unveiling for this practical and attractive large SUV will be at the Toronto Auto Show in mid-February. Maybe at that point we will find out if this vehicle will be available with any of the special edition packages and features that were available in United States markets. The 2018 Chevy Equinox will make its Canadian debut at the Montreal Auto Show in late January.

The 2017 Chevy Camaro ZL1 convertible just made its debut at the New York Auto Show, and we are over the moon at the power and track-ready fun built into this sleek new vehicle, and its coupe counterpart. Outfitted with a 6.2-litre V8 engine rated for an estimated 640 horsepower, matched to either a six-speed manual or 10-speed automatic transmission, this sport-optimized wonder car is poised to burn up the road.

2017 Chevy Camaro ZL1 Canadian Release Date

The coupe and convertible body styles of the 2017 Chevy Camaro ZL1 share a track-optimized chassis, engine and driver control system, and therefore can deliver on comparable performance. The coupe model will go on sale in Canada and across North America later this year, with the convertible version making its appearance at dealerships in early 2017.

The standard 2016 Chevy Camaro offers multiple engine options, including one that was honored as one of Ward’s Ten Best Engines, but the new engine and performance enhancements in the Camaro ZL1 are going to blow them out of the water. Some performance features include:

The 2017 Chevy Camaro ZL1 is 90 kilograms lighter than the previous model, which creates an improved power-to-weight ratio. That means even more engaging handling and maneuverability. Best of all, this vehicle is track-ready straight from the factory floor.

The ZL1 will feature stylish and supportive Recaro front seats and a suede flat-bottom steering wheel and shift knob.

The 2016 Chevy Colorado will also come in a Z71 Trail Boss version for those with a taste for off-roading. Jumping off from the Z71’s already strong off-road suspension, the Trail Boss edition will pair black-finished aluminum wheels and all-terrain tires for the best ride. Making its public debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show this week, the 2016 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate truck promises to offer an even more advanced set of features for the discerning driver. New 2016 Sierra Denali Ultimate features

Available only on four-wheel drive 1500 crew cab models with a 5’ 8” or 6’ 6” cargo bed, the 2016 Sierra Denali Ultimate features 22-inch wheels, a sunroof, chrome tow hooks, and safety technology like lane keeping assistance and IntelliBeam automatic headlights are also standard, as well as the specialized Tri-Mode Power Steps which will move back to become a step into the forward section of the cargo bed.

2016 Chevy Volt Release Date

It is an exciting week for the automotive industry thanks to the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. Many different automotive companies are announcing redesigns as well as adding vehicles to their lineup. One of these vehicles is the all-new 2016 Chevy Volt. The Volt is a popular model for Chevrolet and here at Craig Dunn Motor City, we can’t wait to see this new model in person. Today we’ll take a look at what we know about the 2016 Chevy Volt release date so far.

The 2016 Chevy Volt has been updated to include a sleeker, sportier design, greater efficiency, more powerful acceleration and more. The new Volt will also have some added technology and advancements along with a redesigned interior that provides comfortable seating for five. The exterior design has a flowing shape to it that improves aerodynamics and style. It still has the classic Volt front-end but it has a bright upper and lower grille pads. It also has an exciting interior design with blue ambient lighting and an eight-inch-diagonal touch screen that serves as the centre of the Chevrolet MyLink System.

Another improved feature for the 2016 Chevy Volt is the new Voltec propulsion system. The second-generation Voltec extended range electric vehicle (EREV) propulsion system increases the all-electric driving range, improved efficiency and more powerful acceleration. This new system includes the battery, drive unit, range-extending engine and power electronics. The 2016 Volt will be powered by an 18.4 kWh battery system and 1.5L engine.

The Volt will also have a more convenient charging process. It will be easier for owners to know when the Volt is charging as well as how much of a charge it has remaining. There will even by a designed tone that indicates when charging has begun with an additional tone for delayed charging as well as an indicator that alerts the owner when the charge port door was left open after unplugging but before entering the vehicle. There will also be an available illuminated charge port that will make it easier to plug in the Volt in the dark.

These features include forward collision alert, lane departure warning, side blind spot alert, rear-vision camera system and rear park assist.
